hsm meets SarahBrightEyes
Once upon a time, in October 1997, I got my first computer. An old eppson my sister Maggie had in her garage. It must have been a 66 mhz with 8mb's of ram. I was in heaven. My daughter Rayanne came over and got me email and yahoo chat!! WOW! I went in the chatrooms in yahoo and met some nice people. We all met in the mornings for coffee and chat in the 40's rooms. Those were the days...
While on line and checking all this out a man came in the room one day and asked if anyone would like to talk to him, and about marriage. lol I typed back to him, I would, but not the "m" word. He immediatly said, "here's my phone number, let's get out of here, too many morons" I thought he'd be chewed up and spit out, lol I was laughing. We did meet in my room and chat, we emailed back and forth and he did give me his phone number to call him, collect of course.
Well, over the next 16 months we kept in contact, and in January 1999, I decided a trip to meet Howard was in order. He bought me a ticket to come to Baltimore, and said if it didn't work out he'd get another ticket and send me home. lol, I was planning on things working out. To me, after all this time, he had become very important to me, and I was ready to be taken care of and to be someone's best friend.
I let work know I'd be leaving (retiring) March 1st, was moving to the east coast on March 17th. I felt good, I sold, gave away most of my pocessions that were too big to send, and I sent boxes and boxes to Howard to hold for my arrival. He was painting and cleaning getting ready for life to begin on his end. He is the type of man to have everything perfect. He let me know as he went along how it was going, and asking what I thought. He described the rooms exactly to me, I knew the apartment when I walked in.
When I moved to Baltimore, it was and still is an awesome place to live. I am still in awe of the area. It is very old here. So anyway, I came, we got to know each other and became best friends in life. Howard asked me to marry him again and again, and stopped I guess because hard headed me kept saying "oh! no no, not the 'm' word", lol
After 5 years together, (March 17th) and this being leap year, on February 29, 2004 I asked Howard to be engaged and of course he said, YES! He has always wanted to marry me, but was waiting for me, lol
So, we will tie the knot on March 17, 2004
I love you Howard.
